Blues to Bop 2009

Back at TASIS with the whole Gang!
August 29

This weekend Allyson came back to Lugano for probably the best weekend out of the year...Blues to Bop! We spent the morning wandering around Lugano, eating lunch at Argentino, shopping at H & M and of course buying wine at Manor. A typical day for Lizzie, Allyson and I, making us feel as if we had never left for the summer.

After taking a breather at my apartment, while I put down a rug, hung several pictures and enjoyed a glass of wine on my balcony we started the process of gathering everyone at my apartment to head down town for dinner with all of the ES ladies. In true TASIS fashion we were finishing up the high school teachers strolled down and joined us making it a rather large crew roaming the streets in the search of the band called The Flag, and a couple of drinks of course.

By 10:30 we found our band, pushed our way to the front and danced the night away before becoming crazy groupies and stalking them backstage.

Around 3:30 A.M. we broke down the barrier and the band jumped the gate to join the common folk

and to take a couple of jumping pictures with us. Which they got really into.

Around 4:30 we decided maybe we should call it a night because we had our 1st faculty meeting the next morning, that I was expected to speak at.

Sunday was extremely low key. We went to Morcote for lunch and then back to my place to relax until heading out to Courtney's house for her Third Time's A charm party for all those who were a part of our incoming class. It was great to see them all and catch up without the new people around and before all the craziness of schedules begins.

Then of course we had to do a dinner at Bella Vista for Allyson's last dinner in Lugano; at least for this trip. It was a good night. It brought to my attention how much fun we have all had together and the friendships that are probably going to last a lifetime.
